RCA cable used to connect variety of audio and video devices

The RCA cable is initially used to connect phonographs to amplifiers. However, recently RCA cable finds its wide scale application in connecting variety of audio and video devices, like that of camcorders to TVs or sometimes stereos to speakers. Higher-end camcorders possess all three RCA jacks, and so allowing the signal entering or leaving the camcorder can go through three separate channels that is one video and two audio that ultimately result in a higher-quality transfer. On the other hand Lower-end camcorders, usually possess one jack, called a stereo jack, this combines all three channels. However, it results in lower-quality transfers because here the signal is compressed into one channel. In either of the cases, RCA cables transmit the analog, or sometimes the non-digital signals. Because of this, RCA cable cannot be plugged directly into a computer or various other digital devices.

So with the passing of time the utility of RCA cable changes from phonograph amplifier to connecting audio video devices.  Further, the latest RCA cable technologies are also improvised with time to keep pace with similar other technologies. Further, RCA cable s also proved their perfection in delivering the factions.  The wide scale use of RCA cable in various devices like camcorders to TVs or sometimes stereos to speakers also increases the demand of RCA cable in the market. The level and quality of transmission via RCA cable varies depending on the higher end camcorders or the lower end camcorders.
